YunusalievaManzura is resident of Үch – Korgon. She has been engaged in gardening for pretty long time with her husband. “This year we will not be able to harvest cherries and small apricots, but big apricots are good so far. Now the apricots are not fully matured, but the fruit ripened slowly and we hope to sell them at a good profit”, – shared Yunusalieva .According to her there are several varieties of apricots in Uch – Korgon. One of the types called Mukumzhan and it is very sweet, also there is another one called Elbert.
Zhorobay Kochkorov is a gardener who works in the Uch- Korgon. He says that they sell ripened fruits below market prices. «The fruit is not yet fully matured. On market of Kyzyl- Kiya town we do not get a chance to have a trading place, so you have to sell the fruits along the highway. The price of apricots reaches 150 soms when time comes to sell them, but now the prices have fallen slightly. It’s hard to make a living. One hope is just for gardening, as there is no other income”, – told Kochkorov .
Local residents say that they are don’t bred cattle, instead they try to spend more time gardening and make a profit from gardening as much as possible. But sometimes their expectations are not met due to the prices in the market.
